Why I Do This Work
I have been blessed to work in Human Services and Mental Health for over 20 years. I have a passion for helping people reach their goals and I have been lucky enough to do this as an advocate, a program coordinator, disaster relief responder, community organizer, mental health therapist, and mentor. This work has given me insight into those who struggle and determination to help where I can.
I have a particular interest in helping those who are struggling in the crisis of poverty. I believe that how you do something is just as important as what you do. I believe in the innate dignity and worth of every person.
I also love to work within systems to improve outcomes for all. Everything we encounter in life can be approached with intention, purpose, and meaning. Don’t forget joy! I find joy to be the best stress reliever.
I try to incorporate fun and laughter into my work wherever possible. I am an avid researcher and life long learner. I am looking forward to discovering more amazing people and lessons in the coming years.
